Important Information about Judging and Presentations
Hi Everyone,
When you arrive tomorrow at the registration desk please make sure to let them know that you are on a team and give them your team name. One person from each team will receive an index card with a letter and a number on it, e.g. A1. Please do not lose this card, it took me 10 minutes to write them all out today. If you do lose the card just stop by the registration desk and ask them to make you a new one.
We will be splitting teams up into two groups, group A and group B. Throughout the day we will be calling groups of teams to the judging area so please pay attention to your team numbers, you will need to display the index cards for the judges when they approach your table. Judging will begin at 11AM, at that time we will call some teams from group A and some teams from group B over to the elevators where you will be escorted to the 9th floor to give your presentations.
We will provide you with a table, some chairs and a few outlets. You will be giving your presentations from your own devices so bring whatever you need to the event. The teams will setup science fair style in the judging rooms, please be sure to have your devices charged, connected to the internet and be ready to present when the judges get to you.
9th Floor Wifi Connection Information
Dragonfly 3, Eduroam and Drexel Guest networks will be available. If you do not have credentials to connect to Dragonfly 3(Drexel only) or Eduroam(Some Universities) then you will have to use the Drexel Guest Network.
Connecting to the Drexel Guest Network
- Find the Drexel Guest Wifi network and then click connect.
- Next open your web browser and go to any site, if you are connected to the Drexel Guest network you will be prompted to enter your email address to gain access to the network.
- That’s It!
If you have any trouble connecting just let one of the staff know we are happy to help. I will be on the 9th floor along with John Sinclair and some other Codefest staff with the judges if you need anything while you are up there.
If you have any questions tomorrow please reach out to a staff member in person or send us a message on Discord. It’s difficult to keep track of email during the event and could result in a delayed response.
Hopefully everyone gets some much needed rest tonight. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, Good Luck!
Thanks
Joe Adair
